Council Meetings
Council Meetings take place regularly during the year. Meetings are held on
Thursdays according to a schedule produced at the Annual General Meeting
of the Council. Meetings start at 7.15p.m. and alternate between Knowsley
Village and Stockbridge Village. Council Meetings are chaired by the Council
Chairman (this is Bob Whiley in 2008/09).
The press and public are invited to attend all meetings of the Parish
Council and are able to view all public information, under the Freedom
of Information Act 2000. The Parish Council welcomes comments from
members of the public. You can either contact your local councillor or
the Parish Clerk or attend Council Meetings and speak during public
question time.
Annual Parish Meeting
Each year in May, the Annual Parish Meeting is held. This Meeting
gives both councilors and members of the public the chance to discuss
local issues. It provides us all with the opportunity to reflect on the
previous year and formulate ideas for the new municipal year.
This meeting is presents an ideal opportunity for members of the public
to present their views to the Parish Council. In consequence, it is
important that you turn up and let us know what you think.
The Meeting is widely advertised and so there is no excuse for not
knowing what’s happening!
Council Committees
The Council has two committees that meet regularly during the year.
Committees usually meet on Thursdays according to a schedule produced
at the Annual General Meeting of the Council. Sometimes, extraordinary
meetings of Committees are programmed --- but these are usually planned
for Thursdays. Committee meetings usually commence at 7.15 p.m.
As before, the press and public are invited to attend all committees of the
Parish Council and are able to view all public information, under the
Freedom of Information Act 2000.
